Unfortunately the doctor at Sandton does not tend to reply to the emails I forward on to him, however the ladies at Nurture are great and always reply very promptly. I have no personal experience of either of them other than through email correspondence I’m afraid.

Me and my husband are eager to have a baby and would like to seek your advise on where in Malaysia has ivf centres who would be willing to treat my case. It would be my 3rd attemp on iui next month, but would like to have an alternative if iui does not work for me. Please help.

Lim Siew Choo, I agree with Sue – you still have time to have a baby…. albeit you will need to resort to using an egg donor. We had a patient last year who was 56 years old. She gave birth in November of December … to a healthy baby. I also read about a woman in the Ukraine, who gave birth to a healthy baby boy when she was 66. I am certainly not advocating child bearing at that age. The point that I am trying to make is although woman’s ability to get pregnant using her own eggs greatly diminishes after 40, for many women their ability to carry a child full term remains pretty high. That is, fertility patients of advance maternity age have pretty chances of becoming pregnant, if they use donor eggs.

When doing injections with IUI, I tend to overstimulate. When I do get a chance to do an IUI it has always ended in a miscarriage (5 miscarriages in 3 yrs)

Hello! I am Gana, 33 years old. In one week I will be 34. I had 2 children, last one born in 2001. I had a tubal ligation done during this last pregnancy and am now happily remarried for one year. We would like to start having children as we both feel we are still able to do so. The problem is, in 2001, I had my tubes cut burned and tied. I have heard to reverse this process is almost impossible to accomplish. But I would like to at least see if there is some length left in my tubes to try to conceive naturally instead of artificial insemination. I have moved to Cairo, Egypt and have also heard this is one of the cheapest and best places to have the surgery done. But to my avail, I have yet to find anyone here on the net that offers the service and it is a little embarassing asking my husband and his family to go around town asking everyone where we go. So I would like to short cut through the embarassment and ask if you know of any reasonable priced doctors here in Cairo? If tubal reversal is found to be impossible for me then could you suggest any ivf specialists that offer a reasonable fee for the service?
